What to expect from Health & Nutrition Coaching Sessions

CONSULTATION

This initial call is all about you. Who you are. What your goals are. Why you want to make changes. What’s in your way. Ask me questions about coaching. Let’s see if we’re a good fit. If you decide to join me for coaching, I’ll send you all the info to get started.

Before our official kickoff, I’ll ask you to fill out a client intake assessment and goal setting worksheet.

CHECK-IN CADENCE

We don’t “set-it-and-forget-it” here. In the early stages of our partnership, we establish how often our calls take place (best if we can set recurring times and days), and how you want to communicate in between sessions.

CONNECT & EXPLORE

Before each session, you’ll complete your Client Check-In Form as a way to reflect on your progress and ensure we focus on the areas of your health that are most important to you.

During your session, we talk about what’s working and what’s not. You’re in the drivers seat about how much you want to tackle, and I will help you navigate the path to be successful. Sometimes we’ll do activities to support a habit or behavior you’re working on.

ACTION PLAN

Towards the end of each session, we’ll set an action (or a few) for you to keep top-of-mind until our next call. The goal is to end our session with you feeling 90-100% confident in your skills and abilities. If you don’t feel confident, we will adjust your plan until you do. We really work together to take out the “let’s wing-it!” possibility.

TRY IT OUT

In between our calls, you put the agreed upon action into practice. It’s like putting on a pair of jeans: walk around with it, try it on, sit in it, and see if you’re ready to adopt it. You’re not alone during this time. You can reach out to me with a message in my secure app (or email if you prefer) for support. I respond within 24 hours, Monday-Friday.

MEASURE PROGRESS

We measure you progress based on your goals and preferences. We can track energy, mood, body weight, body girth/measurements, or simply just checking off the box of completing your action. As much as or as little as you want.

ADJUST OR SUSTAIN

At our next check-in call, we pick up with a check in about your action. From there we adjust your action or keep it the same. The process may seem slow at times, but a slow thing done well and consistently is proven to create sustainable change.
